The last time I dieted and failed, I truly believed that I would never be able to achieve my normal BMI. The helpless feeling had affected every part of my life, including my marriage, my relationship with my kids, and my performance at work. It was so difficult for me to understand my weight program; after all, I had lived a very healthy active life in high school and college. And after getting married and having two children, I have never been able to shake off the weight I’ve gained.

I needed a program that worked specifically for me – to address my personal needs and my frustrations. Trust me, I was skeptical about trying any program, until I gave The Diet Solution a shot. This is a totally different type of program and one that I immediately recognized as different. The diet itself asks you to identify your “metabolism” type, which I never even knew existed. Once I understood my metabolism type, I was able to determine which foods are better for me and which worse and cause the most weight gain. This is crucial because, with simple changes to my food choices, I was able to see some quick results without sacrificing my overall cravings for food that I enjoy. The Diet Solution tells you what foods you should avoid, including some “healthy foods” that I had been using to snacking on and what to replace them with. The accumulation of small changes in diet and smart planning has made my weight loss goals much easier to achieve.

Simply keeping the journal is a powerful tool to help me realize how much I am eating and when. Losing weight has been the most difficult challenge I have ever had to deal with in my life. Isabel De Los Rios’ Diet Solution Program: A Review

With its growing popularity, some consumers have questioned The Diet Solution program, by certified nutritionist and exercise specialist Isabel De Los Rios, about its authenticity.

So, is this program good or bad?  It consists of nine well-researched and detailed e-books that guide one towards their weight-loss goals by providing steps and principles regarding nutrition.  For those who prefer a tangible copy of the program that they can take with them on the go, Isabel offers a hardcover copy for $20.00.

This program isn’t one of those outdated diets that require one to eat a specific food for a long period of time.  Not only are those diets ineffective, they are also hazardous to one’s health.  Take for instance the Grapefruit Diet, research has shown that consuming too many grapefruits can lead to low blood pressure and even blood clots.  The program in no way requires one to carefully watch every single thing they eat, it simply encourages one to combine certain foods that help burn fat when eaten together.

Detailed meal plans, easy recipes, and shopping lists are only a part of the many features included in the program.  Take for instance the guide titled Top 10 Nutrition Mistakes Keeping You Fat. It teaches the shocking secrets of nutritional misconceptions that have kept people from successfully losing weight.  The secrets will be eye-opening for many individuals who believe, for example, that artificial sweeteners like Splenda are better for you than organic or “regular” sugar.  In reality, artificial sweeteners contain chemical ingredients that are very difficult for the body to digest.  Also included in the program is a bonus guide called 14 Days to a Sexy New Body in 2010.  The guide is for those who want to lose weight as soon as possible.  It contains the same basic steps found in the original guide, but the steps are stricter and require great discipline from the individual.

If this program weren’t legit, it wouldn’t contain the vast amounts of information that it does.  The author could have easily thrown together a bunch of nonsense into a book and marketed it as legitimate.  Instead, she chose to take her time by carefully researching all aspects of nutrition, weight, food, metabolism, and even common nutritional fallacies like the one concerning artificial sweeteners.  Isabel took everything she learned and logically applied it to her series of books so that the customer’s weight-loss experience is both easy and effective.

Contrary to popular belief, the intentions of the author are not to dupe you into buying her product. Everything she promotes is 100% legitimate.  There are dozens of online testimonies from people who have found success applying Isabel’s secrets and principles to their life.  Health and medical professionals have also done their part by promoting the program on the internet, in news articles, and in the media.  Clearly, for what it’s worth, This program is one of the best weight-loss programs available today.

The Diet Solution is less of a diet program and more of a nutritional education system.  It focuses on the mindset that one has to be in to achieve success without self-sabotaging the process.  I also notice that instead of telling you what you can’t eat, it focuses more on what you should be eating based on your type metabolism, so that you can achieve positive results with minimal restructuring of your overall life.

To me, the thing that sets this program apart from other diet and nutrition systems is the approach that The Diet Solution takes in educating the common individual.  The creators seem to have adopted the viewpoint that people should be talked to as peers and individuals, as opposed to talked down to.  If the average person can’t understand the terminology your using, then they’re most likely not going to finish reading the book and will not receive the information you are trying to send.  This text does not treat the reader like a scientist, or like a child, but it is almost as if you’re having a conversation with your neighbor.  It ‘speaks’ to you in easy to follow terms and walks you through the science as if it were a long lost friend explaining where they’ve been.

When The Diet Solution book breaches the subject of the three steps to weight loss, it lays them out in a straightforward easy to follow path so that everyone can understand the reasons why this is an optimal way to successfully reach your goals.  It helps you figure out your body’s energy needs, then walks you through a simple process of deciding what you want to eat and shows you how each meal can help build on the last.  Then after you have put all this thought into how you are going to achieve your goals, it helps you understand which foods are best going to help you do that and why they work.  In the end, even though the book has provided all the information, the choices were yours every step of the way.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, this essential guide for success breaks down the science and facts of calories – how your body uses and stores the different types of calories – and explains the difference between weight loss and fat loss.  With this helpful information you can feel reassured that you’re on the path to a successful overhaul of your entire dietary lifestyle.  In the end, not only will you achieve your goals of weight loss, but you’ll also find you have more energy and in a sense a whole new lease on life.  It’s no myth that healthier people are happier, nor is it a myth that they live longer.  The end result, as long as you take the time to learn from this book, can only be positive.  Everything we learn makes us that more capable of deciding what is and is not healthy for us in the long run.

The Diet Solution: Using the Metabolic Type Test for a Happier, Healthier and Thinner You

Dieting should be easy and maintainable.  The absolute best way to go about any sort of dieting regimen is to pay attention to your body’s needs.  When you want to lose weight, diet and exercise may sound harsh but if you modify your diet, and don’t deny yourself, to include moderation, whatever plan you try will be more successful.

In this era of enormous fast food meals, which contain too many of the bad ingredients that hinder the body’s proper functioning process, restaurants are contributing to making it more difficult for a person to modify their food intake.  It would be great if all you had to do was subscribe to moderation to lose weight.  It’s not quite that easy.  First and foremost, you have to determine what type of metabolism you have.

Carb Types essentially have a moderately hard time even remembering to eat.  Nutritional problems can result from this because not eating properly sends the metabolism into starvation mode and, therefore, ultimately leads to weight management problems and even obesity.

Because Mixed Types require varied types of foods to satisfy them, they must incorporate every type of food into their diet.  Healthy food is the best policy, though.  Mixed Types also have a tendency to sway one way or the other; meaning that a Mixed Type may be more of a Carb Mixed Type or a Protein Mixed Type.

It is important to understand that no matter what type you are, listening to your body’s needs and cravings is essential for a happier, healthier and thinner you.  If you do it right and follow the Metabolism Type Test, along with The Diet Solution Program, the pounds will begin to fall off, literally.

Review of The Diet Solution Program Recipes


The Diet Solution program is much more than a healthy new diet.  It focuses more on proper nutrition and eating healthy, and less on what you shouldn’t be eating or how unhealthy your choices have been in the past.  In retrospect, the food offered in the Recipe Book (titled “The Diet solution Recipes”) look to have not only a strong basis in nutrition, but also look very delicious – the venus factor secret.

This book has many recipes, with something for even the most discerning appetite.  The recipe choices contain whole sections on vegetable, fish and eggs dishes, but also touch on staple foods, like poultry and beef.  All of this aside, the thing that intrigued me the most was that this recipe book opens up with a beverage section, yes…beverages!  While it’s not uncommon for dietary guidebooks to include shakes and juice mixes to help as meal alternatives, this one speaks about a tea based fruit beverage to take the place of the body’s desire for sodas.  As a health enthusiast, I am very aware that soda intake is a growing concern with most parents, and it is often difficult to find something that younger members of the family will find just as satisfying to their palette. This juice mix not only helps to satisfy those cravings but also manages to do so with fewer calories and little or no caffeine (depending on the tea you use).  It is also a fraction of the cost of traditional name brand sodas.

Continuing deeper into the book, you will easily notice another startling trend, the recipes inside its pages are not only nutritional and delicious, they are all relatively easy to make.  The ones that would be on the more difficult side, such as the “Roasted Garlic-Stuffed Rib Eyes”, are made easier to make by the fact that the directions in this guide book are written for the average person, not the highly skilled chef.  They use words and phrases that are part of everyday language, instead of baffling you with overly complicated terminology in hopes of confusing you into believing they know what they are doing.  It’s as if they have chosen to let the food speak for itself, which in my opinion, is always the best way to do it.

The only thing this book didn’t do for me is to tell me which meal I should make first.  I had such a hard time deciding, that it almost didn’t get made at all – but that’s hardly the book’s fault!  I’d simply worked up such an appetite reading through all the succulent pages, the smells and images of the food in my brain simply wouldn’t let me decide which one I really wanted to try first.  I enjoyed the book’s variations on classic dishes so much that I wouldn’t be able to recommend another diet program recipe booklet to anyone over this one… but then again, this isn’t a diet – it is a diet solution.
